Platinum Legendary GuideHello, this is the catching guide for Platinum version Legendaries! Don't take these please unless you give credit that I wrote them myself.
Giratina (Origin Forme)Okay so I'll start out with the mascot of Platinum Version: Giratina
Okay, so when your at the Spear Pillar, Cyrus has that Red Chain with him and it summons Dialga and Palkia. The two starts to create a new universe like thing. Than the legendary trio, Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie pops up! They break the chain. Than they suddenly start to circle around the Spear Pillar than the place grows dark. A black hole pops up and than it's Giratina's shadow. Looks down at Cyrus than it opens up its wings(Weird black liquids drop when the wings open up, is that blood?) Than it grabs Cyrus and goes down into the Reverse World! =O The trio goes down to the portal also. In order to catch Giratina you need to go down that portal and than go threw the Reverse World. It's really a puzzle actullay. Make sure to have a Pokemon that knows Surf and Strength. There's a part when the each of the trio is near a weird blue hole and you need to use strength to move the boulders to the blue basket hole thing. Than each of the legendary trio: Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie goes up and return home.(The three lakes) Than you can go on to Giratina! Cyrus than challenges you to a battle. After beating Cyrus, Cynthia gives your Pokemon healing! Sweet! Now it's time to catch Giratina!!! Bring tons of Ultra Balls or use the Master Ball Cyrus gave you to make things easier. You could bring a Quick Ball too. Giratina is a Ghost and Dragon type and is at Lv.45. So Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Ice type moves work best to chomp out a lot of its HP out! Than tackle its HP down with Grass, Fire, Psychic or Electric type moves. ^_^ Hope this helps! Contact me if you have questions or any errors to be fixed.
Dialga and PalkiaI'll start out with Dialga since it comes first.
Dialga can appear if you have the Adamant Orb you found in the Waterfall Cave in Mt. Coronet and if you get the National Pokedex. Go to Celestic Town and go to the Shrine, on the hill above the Ruins. Than talk to Cynthia's Grandmother there and she'll say something about Dialga and Palkia responding to the orbs. So after that go to the Spear Pillar. Than a blue spiral thing is where you can battle Dialga. Ground, and Fighting types work best against Dialga to chomp out a lot of its HP. Than use Electric, Grass , and Steel type moves to whittle its HP down to red. Have some Ultra Balls, Dusk Balls, or maybe a Quick Ball to help, or use that Master Ball if you have it. Palkia, same as Dialga if you have the Lustrous Orb from that cave in the Waterfall in Mt. Coronet, go to Celestic Town and talk to Cynthia's Grandmother than go to the Spear Pillar. Remember! You need both orbs to make Dialga and Palkia appear! After encountering Dialga, you can battle Palkia! All you need to do is go out of the Spear Pillar than back in again and Palkia's portal thing appears. Press A in front of it that portal than Palkia battles. Have Dragon-type moves to take out a lot of its HP. Than use Water, Ice, Grass, and Fire type moves to push its HP down to red. Ultra Balls, Dusk Balls and Quick Balls work fine.
